G̱wa'wina (Raven) frontlet carved by Ha'edlakw (Sean Whonnock).
The G̱wa'wina (Raven) is depicted in carvings, masks, prints and drums. He is very important in Kwakwa̱ka̱'wakw mythology and is well known as a trickster. He also has a counterpart in the Undersea world, a separate ocean-bound entity called the Sea Raven.
Made from alder with acrylic paint and abalone inlay. 14"(H)x7.5"(W)x8.5"(D), with stand.
